A horrific incident on Monday evening claimed the life of a 46-year-old man after his car suddenly caught fire on a deserted stretch of Gurgaon's FNG Road. The victim, identified as Rajkumar, was returning home from his shop when the tragedy unfolded.
Chronology of a Tragedy
The incident occurred around 7 pm within the limits of the Sector 113 police station area. Rajkumar, who owned a paint shop in Haibatpur opposite 14th Avenue, had left his workplace around 5:30 pm. While travelling on the FNG Road near Sorkha village, his vehicle was engulfed in flames. The location was a relatively isolated part of the road.
Local residents alerted the police and fire services upon seeing the blazing car. The intensity of the fire was so severe that it took firefighters nearly thirty minutes to bring it under control. When they finally managed to approach the vehicle, they discovered that the doors and windows were locked from the inside, forcing them to break in forcibly to douse the flames.

Inside the car, officials found only skeletal remains, making immediate visual identification impossible. Police have stated that a DNA test will be conducted to conclusively establish the identity of the deceased.
