The deceased's bag was recovered from a pond, while some clothes were also found at the spot, fueling speculation over the circumstances. "Investigation is proceeding considering both angles — suicide and murder," said Manoj Pal, the Officer-in-Charge of Mahagama police station. He added that the victim or his family did not have enmity with anyone.

Protests and Demands

Angered residents and family members blocked the Godda-Mahagama section of NH-133 for two hours. The blockade was lifted after police intervention and an assurance of a fair and impartial investigation.

Family's Allegations

The deceased's mother, Sanni Khatun, said her son left after a minor family dispute and alleged he was murdered. She stated that Zulfikar married a woman from Sukhari village last year and had no children.

Police are continuing their investigation, examining evidence and statements to determine the exact cause of death.
