Rajkot: The Jamjodhpur police in Jamnagar district have arrested a 46-year-old man on charges of repeatedly raping his minor daughter over a period of three years. The case came to light on June 14, 2026, when the survivor, now 18 years old, filed a formal complaint at the Jamjodhpur police station.
Details of the Alleged Abuse
According to the survivor’s complaint, the abuse allegedly occurred at both their residence and their family farm whenever other family members were not present. She stated that the cycle of abuse began during the monsoon season three years ago, when her father first attempted to rape her while she was sleeping. The girl’s statement was recorded before a magistrate.
Preliminary Investigation
Preliminary investigation suggests that the accused is a farmer who owns agricultural land. He also has a son. The accused was produced before the court on June 16, 2026, which remanded him to judicial custody.
