Man Kills Sleeping Brother with Iron Rod in Lucknow After Family Dinner Argument
In a shocking incident in Lucknow, a 30-year-old man allegedly murdered his younger brother by repeatedly attacking him with an iron rod while he was asleep in their family home in Banthra late Sunday night. An argument broke out between Sarvan Gautam and his 24-year-old brother, Alok alias Golu, with both men reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time. The dispute turned physical when Sarvan allegedly pushed Alok, resulting in a minor head injury for the younger brother.
Family members intervened to pacify the situation, temporarily calming the brothers. Following the intervention, Sarvan went to sleep on the terrace of the house while Alok retired to a room inside the residence, seemingly ending the conflict for the night.
Brutal Attack While Victim Slept
Later that night, in a horrifying turn of events, Sarvan allegedly came downstairs from the terrace, picked up an iron rod that was kept in the house, and launched a sudden, violent attack on his sleeping brother. Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Verma confirmed that the iron rod used to commit the crime had been recovered from the house as crucial evidence in the investigation.
