In a tragic incident in Godda district, a 60-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 53-year-old wife to death late on Wednesday night. The incident took place in Badlachak village under the Meharma police station limits.
Victim identified as Ruby Devi
The deceased has been identified as Ruby Devi. She died on the way to the hospital. Her husband, Kishan Das, fled from the Meherma community health centre after Ruby was declared dead on arrival.
Argument turned violent
According to family members, Kishan and Ruby had an argument that escalated into violence. In a fit of rage, Kishan stabbed Ruby multiple times. The couple's grandson informed other family members about the incident.
Saurabh Kumar Thakur, the officer-in-charge of Meherma police station, confirmed that the weapon used in the crime was recovered on Thursday. An investigation is underway to apprehend the accused.
