Mandya Property Dispute Turns Deadly: Elder Brother, Family Arrested for Murder

Mandya police have arrested four members of a family in connection with a shocking murder case. The incident stems from a long-standing property dispute that turned violent.

Violent Confrontation Over Ancestral Property

The murder occurred on January 16 in Mayappanahalli village. This village falls under the jurisdiction of the Keragodu police station in Mandya district.

Police identified the deceased as Yogesh, a 30-year-old man. Investigators say a dispute over ancestral property escalated into a violent confrontation. This confrontation resulted in Yogesh's death.

The primary accused is Yogesh's own elder brother. He is 50-year-old Ningaraju. The other accused include Ningaraju's wife and their two sons.

The sons are 21-year-old Bharath and 24-year-old Darshan. All four family members now face murder charges.

Police Launch Intensive Manhunt

Following the incident, a formal complaint reached the Keragodu police station. MN Kempegowda lodged the complaint. He is also a brother of the deceased Yogesh.

Based on this complaint, police launched an intensive manhunt. Their goal was to apprehend all the accused individuals swiftly.

Acting on specific information, officers made crucial arrests. Police arrested Ningaraju and his son Bharath near BGS Kalyana Mantapa in Mandya city.

This arrest happened around 10:30 PM on January 18. Simultaneously, another police team made more arrests.

They arrested Ningaraju's wife and his other son Darshan. This arrest occurred near Tittamaranahalli village in KM Doddi, Maddur taluk.

Superintendent Praises Investigation Team

Superintendent of police Shobharani commented on the case. She praised the investigation team for their prompt action.

Shobharani also highlighted the team's efficient coordination. This coordination led to the swift arrest of all four accused persons.

Police confirm that further investigation is currently under way. They are working to gather more details about the property dispute and the murder.

The case highlights how family conflicts over property can have tragic consequences. It serves as a grim reminder for communities in Mandya and beyond.
