Mangaluru Police Take Action Against Instagram User's Weapon Display

Mangaluru South police have registered a case against an Instagram user for posting a controversial reel. Head constable Manjunatha discovered the content during a routine social media review on Thursday.

The user, identified as Arman Hasan with the account name __arman_khan.Tired of too many ads?go ad free now_, uploaded a video showing himself holding a sword and an axe. The reel was set to music, creating a dramatic effect.

Police officials stated that the suspect appeared to aim at spreading fear among the public by displaying prohibited weapons online. Authorities confirmed they will pursue appropriate legal measures against the Instagram user.

Two-Wheeler Rider Dies in Tragic Road Accident

In a separate incident near Panambur Junction on Thursday, a two-wheeler rider lost his life in a fatal accident. The victim was Prashanth Kumar, a 53-year-old lab examiner.

The tragedy occurred when metal sheets from a small commercial vehicle (SCV) slid forward and struck Prashanth Kumar. The SCV was being driven by SY Abdul Nawaz at the time.

After being hit by the long metal sheet, Prashanth fell onto the road surface. He sustained severe injuries to his right shoulder and arm, which rendered him unconscious.

Emergency responders transported him to Panambur Hospital for immediate medical attention. Doctors examined him thoroughly but could not save his life, pronouncing him dead at the hospital.

Mangaluru Traffic North police have registered a formal case regarding this unfortunate incident.

Leopard Attack Injures Man in Kanyadi Village

Another distressing event unfolded on Friday when a leopard attacked a man in Andimar, located within Kanyadi village of Nada gram panchayat.

The victim, 62-year-old Manjappa Naik, was standing in his home courtyard when the wild animal assaulted him. The leopard inflicted injuries on Naik's leg during the attack.

Medical personnel first admitted Naik to Belthangady Government Hospital for initial treatment. Considering the severity of his injuries, doctors later transferred him to a hospital in Mangaluru for specialized care.

Local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this dangerous wildlife encounter.
