Mangaluru: Three Arrested for Illegal Cattle Slaughter

In a recent operation, Bellare police apprehended three persons in connection with an alleged illegal cattle slaughter case at Mundatadka in Mantur, Savanoor village, Kadaba taluk. The arrests were made following a tip-off received on Friday evening.

Police Raid and Seizure

Acting on the information, Bellare PSI Santosh BP and his team conducted a raid on a plantation in Mundatadka. During the inspection, they discovered an animal being slaughtered and meat being processed at the site. The police detained three individuals identified as K Abdul Rafiq, 37, Adram Mantur, 41, and Abdul Khader Panemajalu, 57.

Investigation Findings

During the inquiry, it was found that the accused had allegedly carried out cattle slaughter and meat processing without obtaining the necessary permissions. The police seized the meat and took the accused into custody.

Legal Action

A case has been registered at Bellare police station under Sections 4, 7, and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
