Tension gripped Ambachandan village in Mhow tehsil on Sunday evening following a disturbing incident at a resort near the scenic Patalpani waterfall. The situation escalated when a group of people attacked the house of a medical shop owner, linked to allegations involving a married woman.
Police Investigation Unveils Details of Resort Dispute
According to the Badgonda police, the incident came to light after they received information about a dispute at a resort located on Patalpani road. Upon reaching the spot, officers found a man, identified as Sayeed Khan, surrounded by a group of people, with a woman also present at the scene. Both individuals were promptly taken to the police station for detailed questioning to ascertain the facts.
Serious Allegations Lead to Legal Action
Badgonda police station in-charge Prakash Waskale stated that the woman alleged she had been forcibly taken to the resort by the accused. Based on her complaint, police have registered a case against Sayeed Khan, described as a quack, under sections related to rape, criminal intimidation, and provisions of the MP Religious Freedom Act. He has been taken into custody and is scheduled to be produced before the court for legal proceedings.

According to the official complaint, the woman, who is married and has three children, reported that she had visited the accused's so-called 'clinic' for a medical examination a few days prior. She alleged that he administered her a sedative and raped her during that visit. Furthermore, she claimed that the accused recorded obscene photographs and videos of the incident and subsequently began blackmailing her, adding to her distress.
Police revealed that the woman asserted the accused called her to the resort on Sunday, where he allegedly assaulted her again. To prevent any further escalation of violence or unrest, additional police personnel were deployed in the area. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure peace and order in the village.
