In a disturbing incident from Mhow, a minor boy has been booked for allegedly molesting a 5-year-old girl in Hatnawar village, located in the Dharampuri block. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday evening, with police registering the case after midnight on Tuesday, following a formal complaint.

According to police reports, the young girl was on her way from her house to a village shop to purchase chocolates when the accused forcefully took her to his grain godown. It was there that he allegedly began molesting her. The girl's screams alerted her grandfather, who rushed to the godown to rescue her. Upon his arrival, the boy fled from the spot, leaving the scene before authorities could intervene.

Sub Inspector Atul Joshi of Dharampuri police station provided details to the media, confirming that a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the girl's grandfather. The boy has been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Joshi noted that the accused minor is currently absconding, and a dedicated police team has been deployed to search for him.
