The accused, identified as a repeat offender, opened fire on a police patrol team when they attempted to stop him for a routine check near the Ladwa bypass. The police retaliated, leading to a brief but intense shootout.

The incident occurred around 11:30 PM when a police team from the Ladwa police station was conducting night patrols. They spotted a suspicious individual on a motorcycle and signaled him to stop. Instead of complying, the rider sped away, prompting a chase. The miscreant soon abandoned his bike and tried to flee on foot, firing at the police team. The officers responded with measured fire, injuring the suspect in the leg.
Arrest and Medical Treatment
The injured miscreant was immediately apprehended and rushed to the Ladwa Civil Hospital for treatment. Doctors confirmed that his condition is stable.
