A six-year-old boy went missing from a private hospital in the Royal Market area of Bhopal on Tuesday morning, triggering a massive search operation that continued until Wednesday evening. The child, identified as Ansh Maina, had been staying at the hospital with his mother, who was undergoing treatment for jaundice. He was last seen inside the hospital premises at around 10:48 am.
CCTV Footage Shows Child with Unidentified Man
CCTV footage later revealed the boy walking out of the hospital with an unidentified man. The pair was seen moving through several areas of the Old City, including Noor Mahal, Imami Gate, and Ghoda Nakkas. The child was later spotted near Navbahar Sabzi Mandi, close to the Nadra bus stand, where he appeared to be alone.
Suspect Detained but Unable to Provide Information
Police traced and detained the man seen with the child, but officials stated that he appeared to be mentally challenged and could not provide any clear information about the boy's whereabouts. The investigation remains ongoing.
Extensive Search and Reward Announced
Nearly 500 CCTV cameras across multiple routes have been scanned as part of the investigation. Teams from nine police stations under Zone-III, along with Childline and volunteers, are actively involved in the search operation. A reward of Rs 10,000 has been announced for any information leading to the boy's recovery.
