A B.Tech student who went missing from Kachiguda last month was found dead in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The Kachiguda police reported that they received a complaint regarding A Rahul, a native of Jagtial and resident of Saidabad, who had gone missing and was unreachable on his phone.
Sequence of Events
Rahul was last seen at Kachiguda Tourist Junction on May 27. He reportedly informed a friend that he was going out with some other friends. Subsequently, he became untraceable.
Discovery of Body
During the search, Kachiguda police received information on Sunday that an unidentified body had been found in a well in Prakasam district on May 30. Upon verifying the personal belongings and articles found on the deceased, there was a match with the description and identity details of the missing student, Rahul.
“A DNA test is yet to be conducted. The information has been officially communicated to the family members of the deceased,” police said. Officials are also verifying whether it is a case of suicide or foul play.
