Missing Land Dealer Found Murdered in Jharkhand

Daltonganj: A day after a Redma-based land dealer went missing on Saturday, his body was recovered from Jorkat along the NH-39 roadside. One person has been detained, police said.

Body Found in Semi-Naked Condition

Officer in-charge of Sadar police station, Lalji, said, “Police found the body of Vineet Tiwary, 30, in a semi-naked condition from a shrub along the NH. The murder seems to have been committed elsewhere and the body thrown at the scene of crime. No mobile phone or cash was found.”

Abduction from Home

Sadar DSP Rajeev Ranjan said, “Vineet Tiwary had returned home after cremating one of his acquaintances when five people forcibly took him away from in front of his house between 7 and 7.30 pm on Saturday.”

Vineet’s father Binod Tiwary lodged an FIR, naming Pradeep Tiwary and Dilip Tiwary, besides three unidentified people in the case, police said. Investigation is under way, which seems to be related to land dispute, the police added.
