In a significant breakthrough, Mohali police have apprehended one of the primary suspects in the murder of Gurvinder Singh, who was fatally shot outside the District Administrative Complex in Mohali on January 28, 2026. Arrest of Accused Gaurav Alias Bawa
The accused, identified as Gaurav alias Bawa, was captured during coordinated police raids conducted in Moga district. The case was officially registered on January 28 based on the statement of the victim's wife, Amardeep Kaur. She reported to police that while returning from a court appearance in Mohali, her husband was ambushed and shot by two unidentified assailants, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
During interrogation, Gaurav, aged 21, disclosed that he had been in contact with notorious gangsters Goldy Brar, Vicky Sattaewal, and Ravi Faridkotia for approximately three to four months prior to the incident. Police investigations indicate that the murder was carried out by Gaurav in collaboration with another main suspect who was reportedly sent by Goldy Brar and his associates.
