Case Registration and Investigation Details

SP Jindal confirmed that the case was officially registered at Sohana police station on February 18, based on a complaint filed by Gurjot Singh. The complainant alleged that while he was sleeping at his residence on the night of February 17/18, unidentified persons fired multiple shots at his house and his parked Mercedes car, causing significant damage.

The police investigation revealed that the attack was not a random act of violence but a calculated move linked to gangster activities, with the extortion demand adding a financial motive to the crime. This case highlights the ongoing efforts by Mohali police to combat organized crime and ensure public safety in the region.
