Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Nitin Khandelwal provided crucial insights into the case, stating that the primary motive behind the murder was an illicit relationship between the accused, coupled with ongoing family disputes. Khandelwal emphasized that the relationship had been a source of tension within the family, ultimately leading to the fatal confrontation. The police investigation was initiated after Ayush's father filed a formal complaint at the Barharwa police station on February 9, two days after the discovery of his son's body.
Arrests Made Based on Technical Evidence and Interrogation

The arrested individuals are the victim's mother, Meera Devi, aged 33, and his maternal cousin, Rohit Saha, aged 30.
