Despite the land ownership being under judicial consideration, witnesses reported that the violence began when Rashi Jyani arrived at the disputed property with a group of supporters to harvest wheat. Her mother, Kanta Jyani, quickly arrived with her own faction to block the activity, leading to a violent brawl between the two groups.
The clash left four associates of the two women hospitalized with serious injuries. From Kanta's group, Vikramjit and Lovejit sustained injuries, while from Rashi's group, Tara Chand and Udham Singh were wounded. All four injured men were transported to the civil hospital in Abohar for emergency treatment.

Medical staff at the civil hospital confirmed that Lovejit had suffered a deep cut to his arm during the confrontation. The other three men remain in critical condition, with hospital officials stating that CT scans are required to determine if their wounds were caused by bullets, as witnesses reported hearing gunfire during the incident.
Due to the severity of their injuries, three of the men have been referred to a specialized trauma facility for advanced medical care. The hospital is monitoring their conditions closely as investigations continue into the exact nature of their wounds.
