Member of Parliament E Tukaram on Sunday inspected a pothole-ridden stretch of the National Highway-50 service road near 114-Danapur village in Karnataka. He expressed concern over the poor condition of the road, which has been causing inconvenience and safety hazards for commuters.
Inspection Details
Tukaram, accompanied by local officials, walked along the damaged road and noted the numerous potholes that have made travel difficult. He urged the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to expedite repair work and ensure a smooth surface for vehicles. The MP emphasized that the road is vital for villagers and must be fixed urgently.
Public Grievances
Residents of Danapur and nearby areas complained about the deteriorating road conditions, which have led to accidents and vehicle damage. They demanded immediate action from authorities. Tukaram assured them that he would follow up with the concerned departments to resolve the issue at the earliest.
The inspection comes ahead of the monsoon season, when potholes typically worsen. Officials present promised to complete repairs within a fortnight. The MP warned of strict action if the deadline is not met.
