Mumbai Hotel Owner Found Dead Near Kanpur While Traveling to Family Wedding
A tragic incident has unfolded in Kanpur, where a 40-year-old man traveling from Mumbai to attend a family wedding in Gonda was discovered dead on the roadside, approximately 23 kilometers from Panki railway station. The deceased has been identified as Solahu, a resident of the Vashi area in Mumbai, where he owned and operated a hotel.
Family Alleges Poisoning in Mysterious Death
Solahu's family has raised serious allegations of poisoning, adding a layer of suspicion to the already mysterious circumstances surrounding his death. He is survived by his wife Samta, daughter Seema, and a son, leaving behind a grieving family seeking answers.
Journey to Nephew's Wedding Takes Tragic Turn
According to statements from Solahu's nephew Rambali, who also works in Mumbai, the two had embarked on their journey together. They left Borivali on Monday morning at 8:50 am aboard a special train bound for their village, where Rambali's brother Kanhaiya's wedding was scheduled for April 26.
The train made a brief halt at Panki station around 4 pm. During this stop, Solahu reportedly disembarked without informing anyone. When the train departed, he failed to return to his seat, prompting immediate concern among his traveling companions.
Desperate Search Ends in Tragedy
Rambali immediately alerted other family members and initiated a search for his missing uncle. The search turned tragic later that night when the family received information that Solahu's body had been discovered on the roadside. Police officials confirmed that nothing was found on his person except his Aadhar card, deepening the mystery of what transpired between his departure from the train and the discovery of his body.
Police Investigation Underway with Viscera Preserved
Inspector Ajay Singh of the Raipurwa police station provided crucial details about the ongoing investigation. "Since the cause of death could not be determined from the post-mortem report, the viscera has been preserved for further analysis," stated Inspector Singh. The matter remains under active investigation, with authorities working to piece together the events leading to Solahu's untimely death.
The preservation of viscera indicates that forensic examination will play a critical role in determining whether foul play was involved, potentially corroborating or refuting the family's poisoning allegations. This development suggests that toxicology reports may provide essential clues in solving this perplexing case.
Community and Family Seek Answers
The incident has sent shockwaves through both the Mumbai community where Solahu operated his hotel business and the family preparing for what should have been a joyous wedding celebration. As police continue their investigation, numerous questions remain unanswered:
- Why did Solahu disembark at Panki station without informing his traveling companion?
- What occurred between his departure from the train and the discovery of his body?
- Will forensic analysis of the preserved viscera reveal evidence of poisoning or other causes?
This tragic case highlights the vulnerability of travelers and the importance of thorough investigation when deaths occur under mysterious circumstances. As authorities work to uncover the truth, a family mourns the loss of a husband, father, and uncle who never reached the wedding he was traveling to attend.
