Mumbai: The Wadala Police have apprehended a 30-year-old man in connection with the murder of his wife's lover. The incident took place in the vicinity of Reay Road railway station, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to police officials, the accused's wife had separated from him and subsequently moved in with her paramour, identified as Ansar Shaikh. The accused became enraged upon learning of the relationship, which ultimately led to the fatal confrontation.

The murder occurred on the evening of May 27, between 10 pm and 10:15 pm. The accused confronted Shaikh near Reay Road railway station, where a heated verbal altercation ensued. The situation quickly escalated as the accused physically attacked Shaikh, raining kicks and blows upon him. He then threw Shaikh to the ground and, even after Shaikh lost consciousness, continued the assault by bludgeoning him to death with stones.
