Mumbai Man's Suicide Video Names Three Harassers, Family Alleges Murder
Mumbai Suicide Video: Family Alleges Harassment by Three

A month after a 26-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances, his family has alleged that he was being harassed by three individuals. They submitted a video clip to the Government Railway Police (GRP) purportedly shot by the man before his death on the railway tracks.

Incident Details

Jayesh Parmar, a resident of Kandivli, left home on April 5 on a friend’s motorcycle. Later, his family received a phone call from the friend stating that Parmar was found injured near the railway tracks at Kandivli. By the time his family reached the location, Parmar had been moved to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital in Kandivli.

As his condition was serious, doctors advised transferring him to a better-equipped hospital. Parmar’s family then moved him to Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central, where he underwent surgery. However, his condition remained critical, and he died on April 10. A post-mortem examination conducted the same day listed the cause of death as “septicaemia following head injury in an alleged case of alcohol intoxication.”

Police Response

The Borivli GRP initially registered a case of accidental death.

Family's Discovery

Speaking to the Times of India, Parmar’s sister said his phone was locked. “The family wanted to access his photos and sought help to back up his data. We came across two video clips and WhatsApp chat conversations. One of the video clips appears to have been recorded on the railway tracks. In it, my brother says he plans to end his life. He also named two women and a man who he says got him beaten up,” Parmar’s sister stated.

Demand for Investigation

The family has demanded a thorough probe into the matter, alleging that the three named individuals harassed him, leading to his death. The GRP is expected to review the evidence and consider further action.
