A man who allegedly convinced a girl that he would marry her despite her skin condition, developed a physical relationship with her, and later abandoned her, has been booked under charges of rape in Mysuru.

Police sources confirmed that the accused, Madan Raj, a former elected member of the T Narasipura Council, was booked under rape charges recently. A search has been launched to apprehend him as he is absconding.
Mysuru Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baldandi stated that a case of rape has been registered against Madan Raj and an investigation is underway. The accused fled after the woman allegedly attempted suicide two days ago.
