Sulochana Patil, a resident of Gumgaon, was travelling on an Aapli Bus from Dongargaon to Gumgaon on April 15 when she inadvertently left her purse behind. The loss was discovered only after she had alighted from the bus, causing immediate distress as the purse contained items she had carefully set aside for her niece's upcoming wedding.

Realizing her mistake, Patil promptly contacted the Aapli Bus service helpline to report the missing purse, hoping for a positive outcome but fearing the worst given the valuable contents.

Conductor's Alert Discovery During Routine Inspection

Meanwhile, during a standard post-journey inspection, conductor Bhushan Korde discovered an unattended purse inside the bus. Showing immediate responsibility, Korde examined the contents and was astonished to find a gold mangalsutra weighing approximately 2 tolas, estimated to be worth around 3.5 lakh rupees, along with 10,950 rupees in cash.

Understanding the significance and value of these items, Korde took swift action to ensure their safekeeping and proper return.

Conductor Bhushan Korde promptly informed depot manager Ajay Ingole about the discovery. The bus service staff coordinated efficiently to verify the ownership and complete necessary formalities. Through their diligent efforts, the purse and all its contents were successfully returned to Sulochana Patil, much to her relief and gratitude.
