Tragic Nashik Accident Claims Four Lives in Fiery Collision

A devastating road accident in Sinnar, Nashik, early Saturday morning resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including a young married couple, after a truck collided with a pickup vehicle. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.

Details of the Fatal Crash

The accident occurred on the Panchale-Shaha road in Sinnar when the victims, all identified as farm workers, were returning to their homes in Panchale village. They had been attending a religious programme at a relative's house in Pathre village. Tragically, the crash happened just 2 kilometers from their destination.

According to Inspector Bharat Jadhav of the MIDC police station, the truck was traveling toward Shaha village from the Panchale side. The driver reportedly dozed off, leading to a head-on collision with the oncoming pickup. The impact was so severe that the truck toppled onto the road, while the pickup was knocked into a roadside ditch, where its cabin instantly caught fire.

Victims Identified and Circumstances of Death

The deceased have been identified as Kiran More (23), the pickup driver, Shubham Navle (21), his wife Rinku Navle (19), and Mirabai Gangurde (64). The young couple and the driver died of severe burns after being trapped inside the burning cabin, while the elderly woman succumbed to injuries sustained from the impact of the crash.

Local residents who heard the collision rushed to the scene and alerted the authorities. Police and fire brigade personnel arrived promptly to extinguish the flames, but unfortunately, all four victims had already perished.

Survivors and Aftermath

In a silver lining amidst the tragedy, six other passengers, mostly young children who were seated in the rear of the pickup, survived the accident. They are currently receiving medical attention and support.

This incident highlights the dangers of driver fatigue and the critical need for road safety measures in rural areas. The community is coming together to support the bereaved families as investigations into the crash continue.
