Nashik Family Tragedy: Home Guard Constable, Wife, Two Kids Found Dead
Nashik: Family of Four Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide

In a shocking incident that has left the community in mourning, a family of four was discovered dead inside their home in Nashik's Deola taluka on Sunday morning. The victims include a 41-year-old home guard constable, his 37-year-old wife, their eight-year-old daughter, and three-year-old son.

The Grim Discovery

Relatives made the heartbreaking discovery after becoming concerned about the family. The man's brother, Tushar Shewale, who lives in adjacent Dhule district, had received a concerning message from his brother Govind Shewale around 6:51 am on Sunday. The message contained a family photo with the caption "Shranddhanjali," which raised immediate alarm.

When Tushar couldn't reach Govind by phone, he asked relatives living in Deola to check on the family. What they found upon entering the open-door home was nothing short of horrific. The home guard constable was found hanging from a ceiling hook, while his wife and two children lay motionless on the bed.

Police Investigation Underway

Inspector Sarthak Nahate of Deola police station confirmed that authorities are investigating the possibility of a murder-cum-suicide. "Based on circumstantial evidence and inspection of the spot, we are not ruling out the possibility of the incident being a murder-cum-suicide", Nahate told media representatives.

The officer revealed that while initial evidence suggests the man may have ended his own life after possibly killing his three family members, there were no visible injury marks on any of the bodies. The absence of clear evidence about poison consumption has complicated the investigation, prompting police to call in forensic teams for detailed analysis.

Ongoing Investigation and Community Impact

Police have registered a case of accidental death for now, pending further investigation results. The autopsy report is expected to provide crucial insights into the exact cause and sequence of deaths. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination and will be handed over to relatives once the procedure is complete.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Phule-Malwadi village and surrounding communities in Nashik district. The fact that the deceased home guard constable posted what appeared to be a final tribute to his family on social media just hours before the discovery has added to the mystery surrounding this heartbreaking case.

As the investigation continues, authorities await forensic evidence and autopsy results to determine the exact circumstances that led to this family tragedy in rural Nashik.
