A shocking incident has come to light in Kalyan's Parekarwadi area, where a 25-year-old newlywed woman, Gayatri Shinde, was found murdered in her parental residence on Monday evening. The Bazarpeth police have launched a search for her father, Vinod Vasaikar, who has been missing since the incident, raising strong suspicion against him.

According to police sources, Gayatri had married her boyfriend Akshay Shinde in November last year against her father's wishes. Vinod Vasaikar was reportedly upset with the marriage, and frequent arguments ensued between him and Gayatri over this issue. On Monday evening, when Gayatri's mother returned from work, she found her daughter lying on the floor in a pool of blood. She immediately alerted the Bazarpeth police, who rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. The body bore multiple grievous injuries, indicating an attack with a sharp weapon.
CCTV Footage Raises Suspicion
The building's CCTV footage allegedly shows Vinod Vasaikar leaving for work in the morning, returning home shortly afterwards, and later leaving again in a hurried manner. Since then, he has been untraceable, intensifying police suspicion. A team from Bazarpeth police station, led by senior inspector Surajsingh Gaur, is investigating the case.
Senior Inspector Gaur stated, 'Preliminary investigations reveal that the father was upset with the marriage, and there were frequent arguments. At present, this appears to be the prime reason behind the suspicion, though the truth will come out only after he is apprehended and questioned.'

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, while forensic experts have inspected the crime scene and collected evidence. The police are conducting a manhunt for Vinod Vasaikar and have urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to his whereabouts.
