Noida Police Uncover Murder Plot Disguised as Fatal Road Accident

In a shocking development in Noida, three individuals have been apprehended by authorities from the Knowledge Park police station for their alleged involvement in a premeditated murder. The suspects stand accused of intentionally running over a man with a vehicle and subsequently attempting to camouflage the homicide as a tragic road accident before discarding the victim's body.

Discovery of the Body and Initial Suspicious

Law enforcement officials discovered the deceased individual on a remote dirt pathway situated near an underpass close to Safipur village, adjacent to a cremation ground. The nature of the injuries sustained by the victim, later identified as Amit, also known as Bhonchu, coupled with the isolated location where the body was found, immediately raised red flags for investigators regarding the true circumstances of the incident.

CCTV Footage and Vehicle Identification

Upon meticulous examination of closed-circuit television footage from surrounding areas, police conclusively determined that the death was a deliberate act of murder. The investigation led them to trace a Maruti Eeco van that was utilized to transport and abandon the body. This vehicle was registered under the ownership of one of the accused, Amarpal.

Legal Charges and Evidence Seizure

An official First Information Report has been lodged at the Knowledge Park police station under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 103(1) for murder, Section 238 for causing the disappearance of evidence or providing false information to protect offenders, and Section 3(5) pertaining to common intention. The arrests of Amarpal, Amit Kumar, and Sunny were executed on Sunday. During the operation, authorities confiscated the Eeco van, along with a metal wrench suspected to be the murder weapon, three mobile phones, and an illegal firearm accompanied by a live cartridge from the possession of the accused.

Root Cause: Revenge for POCSO Case

Police investigations have revealed that the murder originated from a longstanding feud connected to a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act case. In 2022, a formal complaint was filed against the victim, Amit, for allegedly sexually assaulting Amarpal's minor niece. Although Amit was granted bail in 2024, he reportedly persisted in harassing and pursuing the teenager, which fueled the desire for retribution.

Planning and Execution of the Crime

Detectives uncovered that the three men were traveling to Bageshwar Dham in Madhya Pradesh on March 23 when Amarpal received information that Amit had been seen lingering near their residence. This prompted them to devise a scheme to avenge the alleged crimes against his niece. In a calculated move, Amarpal deactivated his mobile phone to avoid detection.

On March 25, the group confronted Amit in the vicinity of Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. A brief yet intense verbal altercation ensued, during which Amit attempted to escape towards Zero Point. Amarpal swiftly entered his van, pursued the fleeing man, and deliberately ran him over with the intent to cause fatal harm.

Assault and Body Disposal

Following the initial impact, the assailants placed Amit inside the vehicle and transported him to a secluded spot. There, they brutally attacked him with a metal wrench, delivering multiple blows to his head. Ultimately, they disposed of his lifeless body near the cremation ground, hoping to mislead authorities into believing it was merely an accident.

Police officials have confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing as they continue to gather additional evidence and details related to this heinous crime.
