The special arrangements will be enforced from 7:00 PM on December 31, 2025, until the early hours of January 1, 2026. During this period, all private and public transport vehicles will face restrictions unless they have specific permission. Additional designated parking zones include:

Traffic personnel will be deployed at these locations to assist. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure a parking spot.

Alternate Routes and Commuter Advice

For smooth north-south movement across the city, commuters should use Ring Road (from ISBT to Ashram), the Delhi Gate – BSZ Marg – Mathura Road corridor, Rani Jhansi Marg – Panchkuian Road – Mandir Marg, or Rani Jhansi Marg – Hanuman Murti – Ring Road.

For east-west travel, the suggested routes are Ring Road – Bhairon Road – Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg – Mother Teresa Crescent, and Park Street – Shankar Road.

The police have emphasised that these measures are crucial for pedestrian safety and crowd management, as large gatherings often spill onto roads. The restrictions also aim to ensure clear pathways for emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire tenders.

Passengers heading to ISBTs, railway stations, or airports on New Year's Eve should factor in significant extra travel time to avoid missing their journeys. The public is advised to follow the Delhi Traffic Police's official social media channels for real-time updates.
