Odisha Government Effects Minor IPS Reshuffle, Transfers SPs in 10 Districts

The Odisha government on Saturday announced a minor reshuffle in the IPS cadre, transferring and posting several officers across the state. The changes affect Superintendent of Police (SP) positions in 10 districts, with key movements in Nayagarh, Gajapati, Khurda, and Bargarh, among others.

Smit Parmar, who was serving as SP of the CID-Crime Branch, has been posted as the new SP of Nayagarh. S Susree, the outgoing SP of Nayagarh, has been shifted to the Vigilance department as SP.

In another significant move, Prahlad S Meena, formerly SP of Bargarh, has been transferred as SP of Gajapati. Meanwhile, Suvendu Kumar Patra, who served as SP of Ganjam, has been posted as SP of Khurda. Vivekanand Sharma, the outgoing SP of Khurda, will now take charge as SP of the CID-Crime Branch in Cuttack.

Harisha B C, previously SP of Kandhamal, has been moved to Ganjam as SP. Kashyap Parth Jagdish, Additional SP of Bhadrak, has been promoted and posted as SP of Nabarangpur.

In the southern part of the state, Swathy S Kumar, SP of Rayagada, has been appointed SP of the Special Task Force (STF) in Bhubaneswar. Rabindra Nath Satapathy, the outgoing STF SP, has been shifted as SP of Bargarh.

Rahul Goel, formerly SP of Boudh, has been transferred as SP of the Special Branch. Kuldeep Singh Meena, who served as ADC to the Governor, has been posted as SP of Boudh. In another change, Raj Prasad, SP of the Special Branch, has been posted as SP of Rayagada.

This reshuffle is part of the state's routine administrative adjustments to optimize law enforcement and address operational requirements across Odisha.
