Prayagraj: On the second day of the written examination for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), a total of 2,12,975 candidates appeared in the examination held on Thursday across the state. The exam was conducted in a peaceful, transparent, malpractice-free, and well-organized environment.
Examination Details
Dr Prashant Kumar, Chairman of UPESSC, stated that examinations for English, Home Science, Biology, and Instrumental Music were conducted at 504 centers across the state in the first shift. In the second shift, exams for Sanskrit, Commerce, and Arts were held at 471 centers.
Impersonation Incident
During intensive monitoring and verification, a fraudulent candidate was apprehended in the Varanasi district while attempting to take the examination in place of another applicant. This action underscores the commission's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
Attendance Statistics
Over the two days, a total of 4,34,464 candidates participated in the examination, representing 50.02 percent of the total registered candidates. On Thursday, the attendance rate was recorded at 49.16 percent for female candidates and 52.17 percent for male candidates. The commission ensured smooth conduct across all centers with strict vigilance.
