Pakistani Spy Apprehended in Jaisalmer in Major Security Operation Ahead of Republic Day
In a significant pre-Republic Day security operation, the Rajasthan CID Intelligence agency has detained a Pakistani spy on charges of espionage. The arrest occurred early Monday morning in the Sankra police station area of Jaisalmer, marking a crucial interception just hours before the national celebrations commenced.

The detained individual, identified as Jabbara Ram, son of Bhanna Ram Meghwal, is approximately 28 years old and hails from Nedan village in Jaisalmer district. He faces serious allegations of transmitting confidential and strategic information pertaining to the Indian Army to Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, since 2024. Authorities assert that his actions were motivated by monetary gains, with substantial sums allegedly received through Pakistani local agents.
Investigations reveal that the suspect was in continuous contact with Pakistani intelligence personnel via social media platforms. He is accused of repeatedly sending videos, photos, and data linked to strategic military information to his ISI handlers across the border. Notably, officials have highlighted his involvement during Operation Sindoor, where he reportedly shared critical details about army movements and installations.
Ongoing Investigation and Security Implications
The suspected spy is currently being transported to the Central Joint Interrogation Center in Jaipur for intensive questioning. Multiple security and intelligence agencies are expected to participate in the interrogation process to uncover further details of the espionage network.
