Panchkula Police Arrests Man for Stealing Two Mobile Phones

The Amaravati police post team in Panchkula has arrested a man for breaking a car window and stealing two mobile phones. The police recovered the stolen mobile phones from the accused's possession. The accused, identified as Sawar Ali alias Toli, a resident of Pinjore, already has five criminal cases registered against him, including theft. During the investigation, it was also found that he used to target locked houses and commit thefts.

Incident Details

On May 27, a resident of Chandigarh lodged a complaint at Amaravati police post. The complainant stated that he was travelling to Morni with his family. Near Burj Kotian village, they parked their car on the roadside. When the family returned, they found that somebody had broken the driver’s side window and stolen two mobile phones and other belongings.

After receiving the information, the Dial-112 team and Amaravati police post team reached the spot. A case was registered at Pinjore police station.

Arrest and Investigation

During the investigation, the police team – based on secret information — arrested the accused Sawar Ali alias Toli. During questioning, the accused confessed to the crime. The police recovered the two stolen mobile phones from his possession. According to the police, the accused has a criminal history with five previous cases registered against him, including theft. He would also target locked houses and commit thefts.

The police are continuing their investigation to determine if the accused is involved in other similar incidents in the area.
