Panchkula police have made significant arrests in two separate drug trafficking operations. These actions also resulted in the capture of a supplier from Amritsar, marking a notable success in the ongoing fight against narcotics in the region.

First Operation Leads to Supplier's Arrest

In the initial case, the antinarcotics cell of Panchkula police apprehended Ramlal, also known as Bhola, who is 38 years old. Officers caught him in the Pinjore area with 10 grams of heroin in his possession.

Following his arrest, police interrogated Ramlal. This questioning provided crucial information that enabled them to track down his supplier. Authorities then moved to Amritsar and arrested Manoj Kumar, effectively disrupting part of the drug supply chain.

Second Drug Bust in Chandimandir

In another operation, Panchkula police targeted a different trafficker. They arrested Gautam, a resident of Manimajra who was living in Sector 31 of Panchkula. The arrest took place in the Chandimandir area.

Police recovered 6.5 grams of heroin and 6.8 grams of cocaine from Gautam. This seizure highlights the variety of drugs being trafficked and the police's vigilance in different localities.

Mohali Police Nab Youth with Heroin

Meanwhile, Mohali police conducted a late-night patrol in Balongi as part of their continuous crackdown on drug trafficking. During this patrol, they noticed a youth behaving suspiciously.

The suspect attempted to hide upon seeing the police, which immediately raised officers' suspicions. Police quickly apprehended him and identified him as Prashant Kumar Jha.

Prashant Kumar Jha originally hails from Bihat village in the Begusarai district of Bihar. He currently resides in street number 8 of Azad Nagar in Balongi. Police recovered 10.9 grams of heroin, commonly known as chitta, from his possession.

Chandigarh Police Arrest Two with Knives

In a separate incident, Chandigarh Police arrested two men for carrying long knives in Industrial Area Phase 1 on Saturday night. The police have registered separate First Information Reports under the Arms Act for this offense.

Both accused individuals have been sent to judicial custody following their arrests. The police identified the first accused as Nitish, a 20-year-old resident of Hallomajra.

Officers caught Nitish near Colony number 4 light point after he tried to run away upon spotting the police. A long knife was recovered from him during the arrest.

In another incident within the same area, police arrested Karun, also known as Kuku. He is a 22-year-old resident of Ramdarbar Phase 1. Police apprehended him near the cremation ground in Industrial Area Phase 1 and recovered another long knife from his possession.
