Para Teacher Murdered in Palamu, Body Dumped Near Road

Daltonganj: A para teacher-cum-village quack was found murdered and his body abandoned near the junction of Chhaterpur and Paton roads in Palamu district on Thursday night.

Victim Identified

The deceased was identified as Uday Singh, 50, the local Chhaterpur police said. Singh was posted at a government school in Chilho Khurd village.

Injury Details

Officer in-charge of Chhaterpur police station Saurabh Choubey said the victim had multiple sharp wounds. "The deceased had multiple wounds in head and back of throat. We are probing and arrests will follow soon," Choubey added.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and are investigating the motive behind the murder. Preliminary inquiries suggest that Singh may have been targeted due to personal enmity or his dual role as a teacher and quack, but no arrests have been made yet.

The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who demand swift justice. Authorities have assured that the investigation is progressing and that the perpetrators will be brought to book.
