Passenger Recounts Horrific MP Rail Accident Due to False Fire Rumor

A tragic incident has been reported from Morena in Madhya Pradesh where panic triggered by a false fire rumour inside the Udaipur Intercity Express led to a fatal accident. The train, which had started from Gwalior, was halted near the Hetampur–Gher section after reports of fire in a general coach spread among passengers.

Panic and Fatal Consequences

Several passengers rushed out of the train and stepped onto the railway tracks out of fear. During the same time, the Patalkot Express was passing on the adjacent line, leading to a deadly collision. At least four passengers, including three women and a child, were killed on the spot, as stated by the authorities.

Passenger's Harrowing Account

In a statement, a passenger recounted how the rumour led to panic inside the train. He said his wife and children got down, but in the confusion one child remained inside while his wife stood outside. As he went back to check on the child, a train coming from the opposite direction ran over people standing on the tracks, in which he lost both his wife and child.
