A 26-year-old man employed at a Pizza Hut outlet in Sector 67, Gurgaon, lost his life after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a stationary truck near the Ghamroj toll plaza in the early hours of Sunday. The incident occurred around 2 a.m., according to police reports.

Victim Identified as Rajveer Baghel

The deceased, Rajveer Baghel, was a resident of Indri village in Nuh district and worked as a cashier at the Pizza Hut outlet. He was returning home with his neighbor, Sanjay, on a motorcycle when the tragic accident took place.

Family Informed in the Early Morning

In his complaint, Rajveer’s father, Satish Kumar, stated that he received a call around 3 a.m., informing him that his son had been involved in an accident and had been taken to a hospital in Sohna. The family rushed to the medical facility, but doctors declared Rajveer dead during treatment.

In his statement to the police, Sanjay, who was riding pillion on the black Splendor motorcycle, recounted that Rajveer was driving. “After crossing the Ghamroj toll plaza, the motorcycle collided with a trailer that was parked without parking lights, indicators, or other safety precautions,” he said.

Legal Action Taken

An FIR has been registered against the unidentified driver under sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 285 (danger or obstruction in a public way), and 106(1) (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Investigation Underway

Police have stated that a crime scene team inspected the spot, and the body was examined at the hospital before being sent for an autopsy. Authorities are working to identify and trace the trailer driver involved in the incident.
