A man accused in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case, who escaped from police custody in Kalaburgi, has been arrested again. The accused, identified as Ingle, allegedly eloped with the 16-year-old girl involved in the case and took her to Pune in Maharashtra.

According to police sources, Ingle was initially arrested in connection with a POCSO case registered at a local police station in Kalaburgi. While in custody, he managed to escape and subsequently fled with the minor victim. The police launched a manhunt and tracked the duo to Pune, where Ingle was apprehended. The girl has been safely recovered and handed over to her family.

Legal Proceedings Underway

The accused has been brought back to Kalaburgi and produced before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody. Police officials stated that they are investigating how the escape occurred and whether any negligence on the part of the escorting officers led to the incident.
