Nagpur: In a significant breakthrough, the Gittikhadan police team recovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from the residence of Abbas Khan in the Dabha area during an investigation on Monday. Khan and his close aide were arrested last week. The subsequent search at his house led to the seizure of two pistols and 10 rounds of ammunition.
Earlier Seizure and Arrest
Earlier, Khan's close aide was caught by Gittikhadan police for carrying a crude firearm. Following this, three firearms and cartridges have already been seized by cops from Khan's house. The prompt action by the cops has prevented a probable gang war between the Maratha gang and the Abbas Khan gang.
Background of the Accused
Khan is an accused in a double murder case. He was released on bail a couple of months back. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover more details about his criminal activities.
