The arrested suspects have been identified as Sachin Pasi (27), Rahul Kumar (22), and Nitesh Kumar (32), all residents of Tarbagh in Prayagraj. During the operation, authorities confiscated five packets of smack with a total weight of approximately 704.88 grams. This quantity of drugs is estimated to be worth around Rs 1.41 crore in the international market, highlighting the scale of the illegal activity.
In addition to the narcotics, police recovered three mobile phones and Rs 1,200 in cash from the possession of the accused. The arrests were made near Subedarganj Road, where the drug peddlers were allegedly planning to dispose of the seized substances. Following the operation, they were formally charged under Section 18/21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, which pertains to the possession and sale of illegal drugs.

Investigations revealed that the arrested individuals have a history of criminal involvement. Sachin Pasi is described as a notorious drug peddler, with eight criminal cases pending against him across various police stations in Prayagraj. Similarly, Rahul Kumar and Nitesh Kumar each have at least two criminal cases pending, registered with the Dhoomanganj and Puramufti police stations, respectively.
