Prayagraj Police Crack 40-Year-Old Farmer's Murder Case

Police in Fatehpur, Prayagraj district, have solved a shocking murder case. They arrested a farmer's wife and her female partner. The two women allegedly planned the killing together.

The Grisly Discovery

Authorities found the farmer's body in a field near Tiker village on January 14. The victim's throat was slit. The Asothar police station registered a First Information Report immediately. They filed charges under BNS sections 103(1), 61(2), and 3(5).

A Complex Relationship

Investigators uncovered a surprising motive. The farmer's wife and another woman maintained a same-sex relationship for about eighteen months. Their bond grew stronger over time. Both women wanted to live together independently.

The farmer reportedly objected to his wife's partner visiting their home frequently. This created tension. Police revealed the female partner gave the wife a keypad mobile phone three months before the murder. This allowed them to communicate secretly.

Police shared additional startling details. The female partner was married three times previously. She lived near the victim's house with her minor son. Investigators noted she even had a tattoo of the farmer's name on her arm.

The Murder Plot

Frustrated by the farmer's objections, the two women allegedly conspired to kill him. The female partner contacted an acquaintance who worked as a rickshaw puller. They struck a deal to murder the farmer for sixty thousand rupees.

The conspirators paid an advance of eight thousand rupees before the crime. On January 14, the accused allegedly strangled the farmer first. They then slit his throat and dumped his body in the field.

Arrests and Evidence

Police made arrests on Sunday evening. They took the farmer's wife and her female partner into custody. Officers also arrested one of the alleged killers from Bhehrampur. Two other accused individuals remain at large.

During the investigation, police recovered crucial evidence. They found three mobile phones, a knife, and a rope used in the crime. These items will play a key role in the prosecution.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community. It highlights complex interpersonal dynamics leading to extreme violence. Fatehpur police continue their search for the two absconding accused.
