Property dealer shot dead in Hapur, four booked

A 35-year-old property dealer was fatally shot in the Pilkhuwa area of Hapur district late Monday night, according to police. The deceased, identified as Atul Tomar, a resident of Galand village under the Pilkhuwa Kotwali police station limits, was attacked while returning home with a friend.

Incident Details

The incident occurred around 10:45 PM when Atul and his friend Ashok Kumar were driving back to their village after visiting a fast-food outlet. As their car reached Reliance Road near a gym, another vehicle allegedly overtook them and forced them to stop.

According to the complaint filed by Atul's mother, Madhu Tomar, the accused — Naveen Tomar, Brijmohan, Manjeet, and Shripal alias Pappu — were armed with pistols and country-made firearms. They smashed the side window of Atul's car and shot him in the chest. Madhu further claimed that several unidentified men arrived on motorcycles, vandalised the vehicle, and fled the scene.
