Pune Rural Police Unravel Double Murder Mystery Through Accused Confession

The Pune Rural police have made a significant breakthrough in a chilling double murder case, with the arrested individual confessing to the brutal killings of two separate victims. This development came during the investigation into the murder of an unidentified woman, leading to the resolution of another homicide.

Accused Belongs to Khed Taluka, Faces Multiple Murder Charges

The accused, identified as Jayatu Borkar from Khed taluka, is now facing two separate murder cases registered against him with the Khed and Supa police stations. Authorities are currently working to ascertain the identities of both victims, as confirmed by an officer from the Pune Rural police.

Discovery of Woman's Body in Supa Area

According to police reports, on January 19, the naked body of an unknown woman was discovered on a farm at Kalkhairewadi village near Supa in Baramati, approximately 75 kilometers from Pune. A murder case under section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was promptly registered with the Supa police.

During the subsequent investigation, police gathered crucial information pointing toward Jayatu Borkar as the prime suspect in the woman's murder. This led to his apprehension on January 20.

Interrogation Reveals Second Murder

During intensive interrogation, Borkar admitted to killing the woman. He then made a startling additional confession, revealing that he had murdered another person who was with the woman. According to his statement, he hacked the man to death near a hillock in Khed taluka on January 17.

Police teams immediately rushed to the location and found the naked body of the man with multiple severe wounds, corroborating the accused's confession.

Motive Behind the Brutal Killings

Borkar disclosed to investigators that he did not know either the man or the woman personally. He claimed that he killed the man because the victim opposed his attempts to establish a physical relationship with the woman. After committing the first murder, the accused took the woman to the Supa area and killed her as well.

The officer emphasized that the investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and piece together the complete sequence of events in this disturbing case.
