Punjab Police Arrests Three Shooters Linked to Fugitive Gangster Bobby Mahi in Patiala
In a significant crackdown on organized crime, Punjab Police on Friday arrested three alleged shooters with direct links to the notorious fugitive gangster Bobby Mahi. The accused individuals, identified as Satvinder Singh alias Sunny, Jaspreet Singh alias Hakla, and Deepak alias Deepu, were apprehended by specialized CIA Patiala teams. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police teams conducted a raid near the Truck Union area in Ghanaur, where the trio was allegedly finalizing plans for a serious crime.
During the subsequent operation on Sunam Road, law enforcement officials successfully recovered two .30-bore pistols along with ten live cartridges from the possession of the arrested individuals. This seizure represents a crucial step in disrupting the flow of illegal weapons within the region.

Senior Superintendent of Police Varun Sharma provided critical insights into the case, revealing that the arrested shooters maintained constant communication with Bobby Mahi, who is currently operating from abroad. "They had conducted detailed reconnaissance of a property dealer and were actively planning a targeted shooting incident, which has now been successfully averted through our timely intervention," Sharma stated emphatically.
Police investigations further uncovered that Mahi has been allegedly utilizing social media platforms as tools for extortion activities. Additionally, he is suspected of orchestrating the supply of drugs and weapons to his associates, facilitating targeted attacks across the region.

A formal case has been registered at the Sadar Patiala police station against the three arrested individuals.
