Punjab Counter Intelligence Dismantles ISI-Backed Terror Network
In a significant security operation, the Punjab counter intelligence unit announced on Monday that it has successfully dismantled a terror module with alleged backing from Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The module was reportedly operated by Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), leading to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of critical weaponry.

During the operation, authorities seized two hand grenades and a foreign-made Glock pistol from the suspects. Gaurav Yadav, Director General of Police for Punjab, confirmed that the grenades bore distinct markings from the Pakistan Ordnance Factory, providing clear evidence of cross-border involvement in the terror plot.

The crackdown involved coordinated efforts across state lines. One of the accused was apprehended in Ahmedabad with assistance from the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), highlighting the inter-state reach of this terror network.
