In a significant crackdown on organized crime, the Hanumangarh district police in Rajasthan arrested two alleged members of the notorious Bambiha gang on Sunday. The operation resulted in the recovery of 11 pistols and 22 magazines from their possession, according to official statements.

Inspector General of Police for the Bikaner Range, Omprakash, confirmed that this action was part of a targeted special campaign launched by the Rajasthan Police Headquarters. The initiative is specifically aimed at dismantling organized crime networks and apprehending gangsters operating within the state.
Intelligence-Led Operation
Acting on precise intelligence that illegal weapons were being transported from Indore towards Punjab, police authorities set up a strategic blockade. The information indicated that the weapons were scheduled to be supplied via road on Sunday, prompting immediate police response.
During routine checks, a bus was intercepted. Two young men disembarked and attempted to flee towards the embankment of a main canal. Police personnel pursued and apprehended them. A subsequent search of their bags revealed the cache of 11 pistols and 22 magazines.
Identities and Criminal Background
The arrested individuals were identified as Amandeep Singh, also known as Captain (30 years old), and Pawandeep Singh, alias Bila or Sunny (25 years old). Both are residents of Bargadi in Faridkot district.
Police investigations have established that the duo are active members of the Bambiha criminal group. They have previous cases registered against them, including charges under the Arms Act, assault, and involvement in organized crime activities.

A formal case has been registered under the Arms Act. Authorities are conducting further interrogation to uncover details regarding their associates, the source of the seized weapons, and the intended supply chain.
