Rajasthan Police Launches Major Crackdown on Organized Crime Networks

In a significant move to combat organized crime, the Rajasthan Police executed a comprehensive statewide operation on Monday, targeting criminal gangs across multiple districts. The early-morning raids resulted in the identification of 1,276 criminals linked to various gangs and the arrest of 214 individuals, as confirmed by officials.

Operation Details and Leadership

The operation spanned 19 districts, including key areas under the Jaipur and Jodhpur commissionerates, as part of a broader initiative to dismantle organized crime networks. Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma emphasized that the campaign specifically targeted criminals associated with gangs operating throughout the state.

Led by Director General (Special Operations) Anand Shrivastava, the strategic plan was meticulously prepared under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN and Deputy Inspector General Yogesh Yadav. At the ground level, police teams were spearheaded by SP Gyan Chand Yadav, Additional SPs Narottam Verma and Siddhant Sharma, and DSPs Phoolchand Telar and Bhanwar Lal, who conducted the raids.

Criminal Profiles and Seizures

According to police reports, the identified criminals included 383 individuals linked to the notorious Rohit Godara and Lawrence gangs, 534 associated with local gangs, and 359 other wanted or reward-carrying offenders. During the operation, authorities registered 30 cases under the Arms Act and seized a substantial cache of weapons, including 17 pistols, 3 country-made pistols, 14 cartridges, 6 knives, and 6 daggers.

Of the 214 arrested individuals, 11 were reward-carrying criminals, 157 were warrant absconders, and 46 were other wanted persons. This crackdown underscores the police's commitment to enhancing public safety and curbing illegal activities such as extortion and arms possession.
