Security measures have been significantly intensified across Jharkhand, with particular focus on Ranchi, to prevent any untoward incidents during the Republic Day celebrations on Monday. Inspector General (Operations) Michael Raj confirmed that a general alert has been sounded throughout the state. Jharkhand Police is committed to ensuring peaceful and secure celebrations, with approximately 1,200 personnel being deployed across key locations. The primary focus remains the Morhabadi ground, where Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar will unfurl the national flag during the official ceremony.

The control center will coordinate security operations with police personnel equipped with anti-riot 'vraj' vehicles, water cannons, fire extinguisher vehicles, tear gas units, bomb disposal squads, and advanced wireless communication systems. Continuous patrolling will be maintained around the venue perimeter, with plain-clothed police officers strategically positioned along the Governor's route and near the main stage.
