Ranchi Police Successfully Locate Three Missing Girls in Separate Cases

Two Sisters Rescued from Ranchi Railway Station
In the first case, the Ratu police station successfully located two sisters, aged 14 and 17, who had disappeared from Milan Chowk on February 8. According to Ratu police station Officer-in-Charge Ramnarayan Singh, the girls had initially left their home to visit a local shop but failed to return, prompting immediate concern from their family.
The police received formal information about their disappearance on Monday evening and promptly disseminated alerts across multiple platforms. Acting on crucial intelligence gathered by their personnel, the team managed to rescue the sisters from the Ranchi railway station, where they were found in a vulnerable state.
Both girls have since been placed in a secure shelter home for their safety and well-being. Preliminary investigations suggest that familial pressures may have contributed to their decision to flee, though a detailed questioning process will follow to ascertain the full circumstances.
Eleven-Year-Old Girl Found at Shelter Home
In a separate incident, police also rescued an 11-year-old girl who had gone missing from her maternal uncle's residence in the Dibdih area under the Doranda police station jurisdiction on February 4. Hatia Deputy Superintendent of Police PK Mishra provided details of the operation.
The girl had traveled to the Muri railway station, where she was spotted by the Government Railway Police. They immediately took her into protective custody and transferred her to a shelter home in Chutia on February 5. After police circulated her photograph on various platforms, officials from the shelter home identified her and notified the authorities on Tuesday.
During initial questioning, the girl expressed her reluctance to stay with her maternal uncle, indicating possible underlying issues. This was not her first attempt to leave home; she had previously run away on January 28, only to be rescued by police near the Dibdih overbridge the following day.
Her parents have been contacted and are expected to arrive in Ranchi on Wednesday to take custody of their daughter, with police ensuring a smooth and safe reunification process.
