Ranchi Police Ramp Up Efforts to Locate Missing 11-Year-Old Girl
Police in Ranchi have significantly intensified their search operations for an 11-year-old girl from the Girijatoli locality in the Dibdih area of the city. The child, identified as Neha Toppo, has been reported missing since February 4, prompting urgent action from local authorities.
Reward Announced by Distraught Parents
In a desperate bid to secure information about their daughter's whereabouts, the parents of Neha Toppo have announced a substantial reward of Rs 21,000. This financial incentive is offered to anyone who can provide credible information that leads to the safe recovery of the young girl.
Second Disappearance in Recent Weeks
This alarming incident marks the second time Neha has gone missing in a short span. On January 27, she left for school from her maternal uncle's residence in Dibdih but failed to return home. She was subsequently located the following day under the Dibdih bridge, approximately 3 kilometers from her home.
At the request of her parents, who work as laborers in Delhi, she was handed over to her maternal uncle. However, the girl reportedly informed police that she did not wish to remain with her maternal uncle, citing frequent scolding from both her uncle and aunt.
Official Statement from Police Authorities
Hatia DSP P K Mishra provided crucial details regarding the case. "The girl left her maternal uncle's house on February 4 under the pretext of attending school, despite the fact that it was a holiday due to Shab-e-Barat," Mishra stated. "She has been missing since that day. Our investigative teams are meticulously examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area in an effort to trace her movements and determine her current location."

The repeated disappearances have raised serious concerns within the local community about child safety and welfare. Police are conducting door-to-door inquiries and leveraging all available technological resources to expedite the search.
